McPherson police

At 1:41 p.m. Thursday, officers arrested a 16 year old man on charges of marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia. The teenager was released to juvenile intake.


At 1:15 p.m. Thursday, a deputy took a report of possible sexual battery. Detective Craig Hanson said the case was under active investigation, and would not release more details about the report.

At 3:03 p.m. Thursday, deputies, EMS personnel, firefighters and Kansas Highway Patrol responded to a one vehicle rollover accident at Old Highway 81 and Highway K-61 Eastbound Ramp. Billy R. Everly, 53, of Augusta, KS., was in the accident. Everly was driving a semi hauling a 2008 Travis Trailer. Everly reportedly exited onto the K-153 spur when he drove too fast for road conditions, turning over onto the driver’s side. Everly was reported to have severe injuries, and was transported to McPherson Hospital.
