McPherson High ruled the field at the AVCTL Division III and IV tennis meet Monday, with two first place and two second place finishes.
The No. 1 doubles team of Ben Davidson and Max Pyle continued their dominance, going 3-0 on the day and taking first. Their wins move them to 31-0 on the year.
Also taking first was Peter Horton in the No. 1 singles bracket. Ryan Horton was second in the No. 2 singles field with a record of 2-1.
In No. 2 doubles, Connor Schafer and Dylan Stos had a good accounting of themselves, especially considering it was their first time together, finishing second with a 2-1 record.
“It was a great team win,” McPherson coach Doug Gayer said.
The Pups finished with 66 team points, while host Wichita Collegiate was second with 57.
Regionals begin Thursday at Smoky Valley High School.
