    New Hope is a non-denominational, evangelical church at 501 Wickersham. Our phone number is 245- 0303. The church moved into its facility in fall 2008 but has been meeting in this community since December 2003.

    How long in community: 1881 (Organization of the McPherson First Congregational Church was started with a meeting in the home of Harrison Bowker on May 15, 1873, and completed with the adoption of a constitution in September of that year. Meetings were first conducted in the Bowker General Store. The first building was dedicated in 1881. The current building, on the same location after the previous building had been destroyed in a fire in January 1924, was dedicated in January 1925.) The church joined with the United Church of Christ in the early 1970s.
