Smoky Valley’s Eryn Stockman struck out 16 Kingman batters in game one of Friday’s doubleheader in what became her second perfect game of the season.
The Vikings defeated the Eagles 7-0 in game one, then turned around and blasted Kingman 10-0 in game two.
Smoky Valley (12-4) and Kingman (3-13) were each held scoreless for the first five innings of game one, before the Vikings scored five runs to blow the game wide open in the sixth inning. They added two more in the seventh.
Kasey Kolling and Jurnee Gregg both had a pair of RBI’s in the win.
Stockman was also credited with the win in game two, as she pitched three innings, giving up three hits and striking out five more, bringing her total to 21 on the day.
Hannah McBride pitched two innings for the Vikings, picking up a strike out in the process.
The Vikings scored three in the first and two in the second to take control of the game. A four-run fourth and a run in the fifth put the game on ice.
Maddie Klotzbach had the hot bat, going 3-for-3 with a double and a home run. She scored twice and drove in two.
Carly Kolling added two RBI’s in the winning effort.
