Bethany College sophomore Ben Johnson saw his season come to an end in the third round of the 62nd Annual NAIA Men's Golf National Tournament at Creekside Golf Club in Salem, Ore.
The weather was beautiful for round one, where Johnson shot a six-over 78 (T79).
The cold and rain set in on round two but Johnson managed to shoot two-over 74 (T53).
He struggled in round three shooting seven-over 79 ending his tournament run tied for 72nd place and missing the 54-hole cut.
Johnson won the KCAC Championship individual title on April 29 qualifying him for the NAIA Tournament.
The Swedes team came in second, just missing the national tournament.
"Ben had a very good year and though it ended like it did he gained exposure against the best players in the country,” Swede golf coach Jon Daniels said. “He will use that as motivation going into next season."
The fourth and final round concluded Friday with Oklahoma City capturing its second straight team title with a 1,148.
