New Hope Evangelical Church has welcomed Cameron Ensz as student ministries director. Ensz is a new resident to McPherson, but he is no stranger to the area, as he grew up visiting his grandparents each summer in Inman. He still has relatives in the area. He moved to McPherson the Twin Cities of Minnesota and graduated from Northwestern College in St. Paul, Minn., with a bachelor’s degree in youth and family studies. He has served and interned in various ministry settings and enjoys connecting with students and seeing them grow in their faith.
Ensz began his ministry at New Hope on May 15, and he is planning a New Hope student ministries summer kick off for all middle school and high school students (including graduated fifth-graders) from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. The event will include pizza and pop, inflatables and kickball.
Beginning Sunday, New Hope Evangelical Church will begin its summer service schedule of one service at 10 a.m. There will be a cookie reception following the service to welcome Ensz on Sunday.
