  • The Citizens State Bank announces the promotion of Randy Tegethoff to Executive Vice President of The Citizens State Bank.
Tegethoff has been a key officer of The Citizens State Bank since 2008 when he joined the bank as CFO - a role he continues to hold. Tegethoff will concentrate on the efficient merger and operation of present and acquired institutions in his new role with The Citizens State Bank.
Tegethoff’s new role will begin with the management of the merger of the Home State Bank and The Citizens State Bank this summer.  The merger will bring together banking operations in McPherson, Moundridge, Canton, Goessel, Hesston, Hillsboro and Newton giving area customers unprecedented local service and access to their accounts through a dozen branch locations, plus ATMs and online services. Tegethoff’s role is to make certain this merger is a positive experience for both bank’s customers.
Home State Bank and The Citizens State Bank will retain their respective names following the merger, but customers of both banks may conduct their business through any of the banks’ locations and ATMs following the merger.
“In a world of mega-banks, we are the local bank. We know who our customers are and we help them succeed in their goals.  Our employees and owners are neighbors with our bank’s customers.  My goal is to make these mergers seamless and focus on our local orientation while providing all of the services of a bigger bank,” said Tegethoff of the focus of his new responsibilities.
Prior to Randy’s tenure at The Citizens State Bank, he was a CPA with Knudsen, Monroe and Company in Newton.
