  • The McPherson Aquapups have opened their season on a strong note, defeating Haysville Tuesday night 379-333.

  • The McPherson Aquapups have opened their season on a strong note, defeating Haysville Tuesday night 379-333.
    A total of 80 swimmers, both boys and girls from different age groups, are competing for McPherson this season.
    Winning three races Tuesday were Megan Cutting, Ryan Gillis, Derick Goodson, Will Powers and Katie Wurm.
    Swimmers picking up two wins were Hailey Cutting, Ellexis Duran, Mitch Harger and Gavin Soukup.
    Those winning one race were Issac Duran, Lenae Gillis, Katie Hodge, Maggie Leaf, Matt Powers, Cade Reynolds, Zane Richter, McKynlee Stecklein, Megan Vincen, Jori VanGoethem, Emma Williams and Ellen Yowell.
    Their next meet is Tuesday night at 6 p.m. at the McPherson Water Park against Wellington.
