McPherson police

At 10:22 a.m. Wednesday, officers took a report of a minor injury motorcycle accident that occurred sometime around 9:24 a.m. on Hulse and North High. A Kyle Cox was in the accident. Cox was approaching the intersection when his motorcycle caught on some loose gravel, causing the front wheel of the motorcycle to turn to the left. The motorcycle overturned and Cox’s leg was pinned underneath the vehicle. Cox was taken to McPherson Hospital by a private vehicle with minor injuries.

At 11:17 a.m. Wednesday, an officer arrested Michelle Francis, 47, on warrants for failure to comply, failure to pay fines and felony theft. A $2,000 bond was posted.


At 8:27 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters, EMS personnel and an officer responded to a possible industrial fire in the 200 block of East First. Some feed was being sent through a cooling process to the basement of a mill when the feed caught fire. There were no reported injuries, and the only reported damages are lost feed.
