Galva city councilors appointed residents to the Parks and Recreation Committee and to city positions during a council meeting on June 3.
The council appointed Bryon Smith as chairman of the Parks and Recreation Committee, Richard Baldwin as vice-chairman, Kaitlyn Bressie as secretary, Brian Williams to a three-year term and Aaron Alvord to a two-year term.
Councilors appointed Lori Tector as city clerk, Treva Norstrom as city treasurer and municipal court clerk, Hadley Sizemore as city judge, Harry Weelborg as city attorney, Brent Boyer as city prosecutor and Staci Curl as police chief.
In other business:
• Councilors signed a resolutions that provided better detail to job duties for Parks and Recreation committee members.
• Councilors approved a request by Russ Walline for a bike show on July 20 at the old M & M Choppers building.
