Ivan Lee Postlethwaite, 69, of McPherson passed away at 9:39 p.m., Saturday, June 29, while in the company of family members, at Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis, Wichita.

Ivan Lee Postlethwaite, 69, of McPherson passed away at 9:39 p.m., Saturday, June 29, while in the company of family members, at Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis, Wichita.
Ivan was born on Sept. 7, 1943, at his parents’ home in Minneapolis, Kan., the son of Neal Ivan and Elma Lucille (Montague) Postlethwaite.
Ivan attended the Minneapolis grade school and graduated from Salina High School, Salina.
Ivan honorably served in the U.S. Army in Germany, during the Vietnam War.
Through the years, Ivan set pins at the Salina Bowling Alley, worked for a gas station and Royal Tire, and was a truck driver for A.S. Elliot, all of Salina. He moved to McPherson where he was co-owner and operator along with his wife RoxAnne, of the Westside Vicker’s Station and Westside Cafe’ and retired as head mechanic in 2012 after 38 years of service to McPherson Concrete Products.
Ivan was a member of American Legion Post 24 and the N.R.A.
Ivan Lee Postlethwaite was united in marriage to RoxAnne Werner on March 16, 1967 at Fairbury, Neb. RoxAnne died on Sept. 21, 2009.
Surviving family members include his daughters, Tambre Sue Gosselin and her husband Rodney, of McPherson, Dawn Marie Golden and her husband Richard L., of McPherson, and Cherie LeAnne Hartley and her husband Anthony A., of McPherson; his mother, Elma Postlethwaite, of Salina; his sister, Carol Anne Rucker, of Salina; his companion, Roberta, of Salina; his 15 grandchildren, Cassondra Golden, Trevor Golden, Ryan Golden, Devin Hartley, Jonathon Thomas, Nicholas Kelly, Cheyenne Gosselin, Brandon Kelly, Olivia Rodriguez, Benjamin Rodriguez, Victoria Rodriguez, Alexandria Rodriguez, Logan Hardgrave, Caden Hardgrave, Ellie Hardgrave, and one on the way.
Ivan was preceded in death by his father, Neal Ivan Postlethwaite, two brothers, Floyd and Robert “Bob” Postlethwaite, and his wife, RoxAnnend Postlethwaite.
Friends are invited to call  from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2013, with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. at Glidden-Ediger Chapel, McPherson.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2013, at Glidden-Ediger Chapel, McPherson.
Military honors will be presented at the funeral home by members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2715 and American Legion Post 24, both of McPherson.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2013, at the Highland Cemetery Minneapolis, Kan, With Rev. H. Dick Reynolds presiding.
