  • First Street will be temporarily closed to both directions of traffic in order to pour concrete for the north lanes of traffic.
The street will be closed for several hours at the time of concrete pours and for water line replacements. The closures should be less than one day. The tentative date for the concrete pour closure is July 20.
That date might need to be changed due to weather. If the date is changed, it will be announced in the media.
First Street also will need to be closed for two weeks for a sanitary sewer line replacement.
The contractor is on schedule to have the First Street east of Hartup opened when school starts this fall.
