  • Attend legion family night
    The American Legion is hosting a family night Thursday, with proceeds going toward Honor Flights and Legion Programs.
    Food will be served from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and will include hamburgers, fries, soft drinks and dessert.
    Tickets are $5 in advance or $1.25 at the door.
     
    Library hosts yoga event
    From 1 to 2:30 p.m. Friday, McPherson Public Library will host the event Feeling Good: Yoga and Smoothies.
    Kate Mannebach from the McPherson Family YMCA will lead yoga classes for beginners. Smoothies will be available.
    Attendees are asked to bring a yoga mat or beach towel and wear comfortable clothes.
    Gregory to play for music  series
    Tyler Gregory will perform at dark at the Lakeside Park bandshell as part of the McPherson Museum and Arts Foundation Summer Music Series. Attendees are asked to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets.
    In case of rain, the event will be moved to the McPherson Community Building, 122 E. Marlin.

    Attend the Mac County Fairs
    The annual McPherson County Fair and McPherson County 4-H Fair is this month.
    The McPherson County Fair is July 17-21 and includes the Co-Ed Ranch Rodeo, Junior Rodeo, CRPA Rodeo, the crowing of the rodeo queen, fair parade and demolition derby.
    The 4-H Fair includes the Bicycle Rodeo, conference judging, Barnyard Olympics, watermelon feed, water carnival, Recognition Luncheon, Round Robin Showmanship Contest and Livestock Sale.
    Support local youth and adults as they have worked hard on preparing for these activities and events.
