Applications are now being accepted for students desiring to enroll for the fall semester at Abounding Hope Christian School in McPherson. This will be its third year of operation.
Informational meetings will be July 26 and Aug. 2.
The school is set up to serve those for whom traditional Christian education is inaccessible because of emotional, behavioral or severe learning problems.
“The goal of our school is to provide a safe place in which students can grow in their faith, progress academically at their own pace, and prepare themselves to love and serve our Lord,” Janet Edwards, school administrator, said. “Additionally, we desire to have a conveyance of the hope we find in the Lord to both students and the parents.”
Edwards emphasized the Bible-centered philosophy of the school, which establishes a firm foundation for its academic and character-building goals.
Academic excellence is promoted in a disciplined, success-oriented environment. Studies show that the academic achievement in Christian schools far surpasses the national public school average.
Emphasis is placed on mastering major concepts of all academic subjects as well as the Bible and independent living skills. Students can progress at achievement rates based on their won capabilities.
Biblical integration throughout the entire curriculum teaches students to learn to live more independently as a Christian.
