McPherson’s Mark Gayer improved on his day one score of the 103rd Kansas Amateur Championship Wednesday, but fell short of the cut-off to continue on.
Gayer shot a 4-over-par 74 during the morning session Wednesday, finishing with a two-day total of 154. The cut-off was 149.
