A high-speed chase took place at 3:48 a.m. Wednesday between Newton and Salina. McPherson police, Lindsborg police, and deputies pursued a white Chrysler 200M with three occupants at speeds reaching 120 mph.
Officers put down stop strips at two locations. The Chrysler slowed to 100 mph after hitting the second set of strips near Lindsborg.
The deputies ceased pursuit after Lindsborg because of flat tires.
Salina police officers blocked the exits leading into the city. The Chrysler stopped in the median. Two of the occupants fled the scene, and the third was apprehended by officers.
