Most of McPherson County was spared from the storm that hit the central part of the state Tuesday night.
Dillard Webster, McPherson County Emergency Management director, said Windom received golf ball-sized hail. Amanda Weigart from Windom reported on Facebook she received baseball-sized hail.
Dillard said some houses in the Windom area received dents to their siding from the hail and some windows were broken. However, no major structural damage was reported.
He said a survey of local crops also yielded little damage.
Hutchinson received much more significant damage with windows broken at Hutchinson Hospital and skylights shattered at the mall.
