A member of the McPherson College football team was arrested early Sunday morning following a traffic stop by the McPherson Police Department.

A member of the McPherson College football team was arrested early Sunday morning following a traffic stop by the McPherson Police Department.
D’Andre Sampson, 25, McPherson, was arrested after being pulled over in the 100 block of West Sutherland just before 1 a.m. Sunday. He was arrested on McPherson Municipal Court warrants for charges of battery and urinating in public. He also was cited for speeding and failure to provide proof of liability insurance.
Sampson was released from the McPherson County Jail after posting $833 bond.
Sampson is listed on the spring football roster of the Bulldogs as a senior and is expected to be on the roster for the fall team. Doug Quint, McPherson College athletic director, said disciplinary actions may be taken against Sampson.
