McPherson College and Bethany College were both reprented by two players on the the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference 2013 Preseason All-Conference Football Team announced Wednesday.
The team is selected by the KCAC head football coaches.
Bethany College football players Marcus Bradley and Tevis Linnebur were given the nod for the Swedes, while Paul Rotering makes the list as a tight end while Chris Ellison earns a spot on the defensive side of the ball for the Bulldogs.
Bradley, a 6-foot-1 offensive lineman from Dallas, Texas, earned second-team offense honors in 2012.
Linnebur, a 5-foot-6 running back from Cherryvale earned first-team offense honors. He carried the ball 267 times for 1,175 yards averaging 4.4 yards per carry. Linnebur had a total of eight touchdowns on the season and is ranked tenth in the NAIA in total rushing (1175).
Both Bulldogs were 2012 Second Team all-conference performers.
Rotering led the KCAC in receptions for a tight end with 27 that went for 448 yards, 15th among all receivers. He also scored six touchdowns, again tops for a tight end in the conference.
Rotering took the punting duties for the Bulldogs and had a net average of 36.9 yards per punt which was fourth in the KCAC .
Ellison was third for McPherson in tackles in 2012, tallying 52 total and had a team-high twelve for a loss. Ellison also netted six sacks, third in the conference and first for the Bulldogs.
All returning first and second 2012 All-KCAC performers were nominated for preseason honors. Head football coaches also had the opportunity to nominate other key members from their teams.
Friends University led the conference with eight players named to either the first or second team.
The team is made up of 20 seniors, 11 juniors, and one sophomore. Of the 32 athletes listed, nine are from Kansas, seven from Oklahoma, and five from California.
Additionally, our members of the team were selected unanimously by coaches. Those were Zach McClain (WR, Kansas Wesleyan), Jerrell Young (WR, Saint Mary), Sean Grove (OL, Kansas Wesleyan), Terach Antoine (DL, Tabor), Nic France (LB, Tabor) and Lorenzo Fouts (DB, Southwestern).

The coaches and media Preseason KCAC Polls will be released on Wednesday, August 7, directly following the annual KCAC Football Media Day to be conducted in Wichita at the Courtyard Wichita at Old Town.
