Jonathan Bledsoe, Gilbert, Ariz., has signed a letter of intent to play men's basketball at Bethany College for the 2013-2014 academic year.
Bledsoe, a 6-foot-1 guard, comes to Bethany from Williams Field High School, where he played basketball for three years. He was named WFHS Defensive Player of the Year.
Bledsoe was named to the Judy Dixon Memorial Holiday All-Tournament team and the All-Tribune Honorable Mention team. He averaged 11 points per game.
"We are pleased to have Jonathan Bledsoe continue his education at Bethany and become a part of Bethany basketball," Bethany coach Clair Oleen said. "Jonathan will be joining his sister, Paulina, who will be a part of the women's basketball program. Jonathan is a physically strong guard who defends very well and has good physical offensive skills as well, including the ability to get to the rim."
Bledsoe is the son of Ronald and Alma Bledsoe and plans to major in communication.
