The Central Christian College men's soccer team travelled to Dodge City Mondayto play an exhibition game against the Dodge City Community College Conquistadors.
With only six returning players off of last year's squad, coach Aaron Hoxie wanted to give his "new look" Tigers an early opportunity to get on the pitch in a live competitive format to see what he has to work with this season.
The Tigers and Conquistadors played a full 90 minutes but the game ended in a 0-0 draw.
Senior goalkeeper Alex Akrawi came up big for the Tigers in net with 10 saves.
"It was obvious what we have worked on and what we have not worked on over the past 3 days,” Hoxie said. “We have a lot of growing to do and individual development. This was a good test for us as it gave us a competitive environment to test the players."
The Tigers go back to the practice field for the next 11 days preparing for their home opener against Friends University on Aug. 31 at 8 p.m.
