  • The monsoon-like weather kept the Turkey Creek Senior Men off the course for three weeks, but they were finally able to get back in the swing of things Thursday at Turkey Creek Golf Course.

  • The monsoon-like weather kept the Turkey Creek Senior Men off the course for three weeks, but they were finally able to get back in the swing of things Thursday at Turkey Creek Golf Course.
    A total of 58 golfers played a scramble format, with the foursome of Don James, Dennis Friessen, Ed Younger and Ron Robben winning the championship flight after a play-off with a 61.
    George Hurlburt, Joe Johnston, Bill Goering and Rex Morris finished second, also with a 61.
    The first flight was won by Alan Kulbeth, Dick Foulke, Les Haragdine and Chuck Horn, who combined for a 65.
    Jim Batson, Ernie Dinella, Ron River and Dennis Everhart finished second with a 67.
    The seniors will play once again Thursday morning, though the start time will change going forward. Sign in will now be at 8 a.m., with tee time at 8:30 a.m.
