The CCC women's soccer team opened up their season on Thursday evening with a scrimmage against the Hesston College Larks.
Like the men earlier in the week, the ladies played a full 90 minutes and came away with a 0-0 draw. The Tigers fought hard, but things were made difficult from the beginning because the Tigers were without several key players for various reasons.
The Tigers had several scoring chances throughout the contest, with their best opportunity coming late in the game, but they were unable to beat the Hesston goal keeper.
"The girls came out and played hard, even with a tie it was nice to see their Central pride,” Central coach Neva Morales said. “I feel like all in all the girls stuck it out and played tough”
The Tigers will spend the next few days training and getting ready for their home opener against Grace University on August 27.
