Louise Clark, 88, of McPherson passed away at 2:55 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23rd, peacefully, at McPherson Hospital.
Louise was born in McPherson on January 24, 1925, a daughter of Edith E. (Anderson) and David William Clark.
Louise attended and graduated from Prairie Queen Country School and Lindsborg High School. She then attended Bethany College and graduated from nurses training at Wesley Hospital in Wichita.
She completed her education at the Baylor College of Medicine, Anesthesia School, in Dallas, Texas, where she received her CRNA.
Louise was a member of New Gottland Covenant Church McPherson, where she was baptized and confirmed.
Louise was a devoted mother and worked for Wesley Hospital, Wichita, where she was the Director of Nursing. Louise worked in numerous hospitals as a CRNA in Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas.
At her retirement, she was a CRNA at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas. Louise and her best friend Phyllis Benage of McPherson enjoyed living on a small acreage farm and ranch along with their sons in Oklahoma and Kansas for more than 30 years.
Surviving family members include her sons, David W. Clark and his significant other Dana, of Topeka, and Greg Benage and his wife Maria, of Smyrna, Ga.; and her best friend Phyllis Benage.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents David W. and Edith Clark; her sisters, Marjorie Clark and Evelyn Brinkman.
Friends are invited to call on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Glidden - Ediger Chapel, McPherson.
The funeral service will be held at the Glidden - Ediger Chapel, McPherson, at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 with Reverend Richard Skar officiating.
The final resting place will be at the McPherson Cemetery.
