Across the United States, there are vital arts, music and sports programs that are having their budgets cut drastically due to the lack of funding.
Midway Motors wants McPherson youth to experience valuable opportunities to expand their knowledge and diversify their interests, as well as to have a little fun.
Ford Motor Company wants to keep these opportunities available for local students at McPherson High School. Therefore, it is bringing the Drive 4 UR School program to McPherson in an effort to raise $6,000 for the McPherson High School Booster Club.
For every person who takes the wheel and test drives a new Ford vehicle from 3 to 9 p.m. today at the McPherson College Stadium, Ford Motor Company will donate $20 to the Booster Club.
Three hundred drivers are needed to receive the maximum donation of $6,000. Midway Motors has decided to match the funds, if the goal of 300 drivers is met.
This is a chance for MHS to earn $12,000. Whether you have a child at the high school level or not, the community need your help.
Participants must be 18 or older and have a valid driver's license. There is a limit of one-test drive per household. All test drives will last about 7-10 minutes, with no sales pitch being given.
After the drive, designate your money to go to the sport of your choice, orchestra, band or choir.
Free hotdogs will be provided by the Booster Club after your test drive.
