1. Play some ball
The United Way Basketball Clinic will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the McPherson College Sport Center, 1600 E. Euclid. This is a free event for McPherson County children in 3rd-6th grade. For more information, call 241-5152.
2. Watch a movie in the park
Movies in the Park will show “Up” at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Lakeside Park band shell. In case of rain, the movie will move to the McPherson Community Building, 122 E. Marlin. Viewers must bring their own chairs and blankets.

3. Volunteer at the museum
The McPherson Museum & Arts Foundation Volunteer Informational Open House will take place from 9:30 to 11 a.m. and 1:30 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the new museum building, 1111 E. Kansas Ave. Those interested in volunteering at the new McPherson Museum are invited to attend either session.

4. Hang out on Main Street
The Main Event takes place every first Thursday on McPherson’s Main Street. Stores will be open late, and there will be various activities.
5. Stop to smell the flowers
Enjoy the vibrant colors of the fall foliage and flowers by tram with the Fall Wildflower Tour at Maxwell Wildlife Refuge. The tram will make several stops along the way for viewing and pictures.
