  • On Aug. 29 at 11:39 p.m. McPherson Police Officers arrested Justin R. Huhn, 23, of McPherson, on three charges of battery of a law enforcement officer, and single charges of domestic battery and criminal damage to property.
After receiving a complaint from a party that Huhn was sending threatening text messages, officers proceeded to the 800 block of West Lincoln to advise Huhn of the complaint.
Upon their arrival, Huhn became agitated and shoved his roommate, after which the officers placed him under arrest for domestic violence.
Huhn remained physically combative, and officers used ankle shackles as well as handcuffs.
Upon being placed in the back of a patrol unit Huhn leaned back and kicked the window with both feet, shattering it and pelting the officers with broken glass.
Another patrol unit with a cage in the back seat was dispatched to the scene and, upon arrival, Huhn was placed within.
Huhn was released from the McPherson County Jail on Aug. 30 on $2,146 bond.
