The Swedes women's soccer team hit their home turf to scrimmage Mid-America Christian University on Tuesday. Bethany came out with some offensive momentum and defeated the Evangels 4-1 in the scrimmage.
"We continued our momentum from last game and were off for the races," head coach Sean McMannis said. "We had four great goals from four different people."
Junior Kristina Garcia put the Swedes on the board in the first half, followed by a goal by sophomore Arianna Anaya to give Bethany a 2-0 halftime lead.
A goal by Mid-America Christian University did not slow the Swedes as freshman Sarah Henderson answered back with Bethany's third goal of the night. Sophomore Christina Noonan netted the Swedes' fourth and final goal of the scrimmage.
The Swedes have their official regular season home opener on Saturday as they face Central Christian College. Game time is set for 5 p.m.
Bethany is currently 0-2 on the season.
