three event highlights
1. The basketball clinic is free to McPherson County children attending third through sixth grades. It will provide an opportunity for families with less disposable income who can't normally afford these opportunities.
2. The clinic will be taught by the coaches and players of the McPherson College men's and women's basketball teams.
3. Volunteers have put hours of work into the clinic to ensure it's the best it can possibly be, including not only McPherson College coaches and players but also a team of volunteers from Dillons who will help with registration.
Why you should attend
"This basketball clinic lives up to my desire to illustrate the things the United Way stands for in terms of health, education and income stability in the community. We wanted to demonstrate that we give back to the community, and a free basketball clinic with instruction from actual community coaches and players provides all the elements of United Way support. This is a perfect opportunity for people who can't afford this sort of clinic normally for financial reasons."
— Anne Kirchner, event organizer and United Way of McPherson County executive director.
