  • For just the second time this season, the Lady Bulldog volleyball squad was held scoreless as they lost 3-0 to Tabor College on Wednesday night.
Mac is now 9-6 for the season and 1-2 against conference foes.
Set one was a back-and-forth battle between the two teams, neither giving an inch as the largest lead was just four points, held by Mac at 16-12.
Tabor was the first to 20 points and from there won just enough to keep the 'Dogs at bay.
The Lady Jays controlled the second game from the get-go, leading from 4-3 on.
A couple of big rallies by Tabor brought them their 25-15 win, putting them up 2-0 in the match.
The final set was starting to look like the second but Mac wouldn't go away easily as they came back from 21-14 down to lose by a score of 25-20.
Not a single Bulldog made it to double-digits in kills with Sophie Simon coming the closest with six.
McPherson also recorded an uncharacteristically high number of attack errors in the match, helping out their opponent.
Rachel Phillips logged 12 assists and was quickly followed by Ashley Frankenbery who had nine.
On the digging front, where MC is still leading the NAIA, Taylor Johnson posted 13 while Emily Warner earned 11.
The volleyball squad travels to Salina on Saturday where they're set to face Kansas Wesleyan University for a 2 p.m. showdown.
