Elyria Christian School had two runners medal Thursday during the Bennington Cross Country Invitational.
Both medals came in the girls division, as Moriah Redenbaugh took fifth out of 37 runners with a time of 17 minutes, 38.41 seconds. Darian Trost was 12th with a time of 19:03.65. Camille Anderson finished 20th (21:20.88).
In the boys races, the top finish went to Aaron Porter, who finished 21st with a time of 21:14.88. Marshall Williford was just behind at 24th (21:25.91).
Others competing in the invitational were Allan Williford (28:08.94) and John Prieb (22:57.65).
“Bennington has been a great race for Elyria two years in a row now,” Elryia coach Amy Trost said. “Our runners gain confidence and with each race we gain more understanding of our strengths and weaknesses.
“I truly count it a blessing to work with these amazing young people! Their friendships, work ethic and fun-loving nature create an atmosphere in the team that is a joy to be around.”
