At 2:42 p.m. Friday, an officer took a report of theft/burglary and criminal damage to property that occurred between 11 a.m. Saturday and the time of call. A storage unit had been broken into, with a GMC pickup stolen. The value of the damage to the storage unit was less than $1,200, with the theft for the truck and items inside less than under $10,000. An investigation is ongoing.
At 10:03 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to the 2200 block of East Kansas for an assault. The officers arrested Paul D. Calhoun, 49, on charges of domestic battery, DUI, and no proof of insurance. Bond is set at $296. The officers also arrested Noe Ramos-Suavez, 34, on charges of domestic battery, DUI, and no proof of insurance. Bond is set at $296.
