Dillons will be converting the Kaps station at 1340 N. Main into a Dillons Fuel Center.
The Kaps station closed Sept. 10. Construction is expected to start in October and end by the end of the year.
The station will be adjacent to the Dillons store at 1320 N. Main St. The center will offer unleaded, mid-grade unleaded, premium unleaded and diesel fuel on five fuel pumps with service for 10 vehicles. It also will feature a service kiosk with “on-the-go” items such as candy bars, lottery tickets, cigarettes, newspapers and vending machines for cold beverages.
“It’s all about convenience,” said Sheila Lowrie, Dillons spokesperson. “Our customers tell us our Dillons Fuel Centers are extremely handy for filling up their vehicles during regular shopping trips with us.”
Lowrie said the center will make it easier for Dillons customers to redeem their fuel rewards during regular shopping trips.
“Who doesn’t like saving money on everyday items like gasoline?” Lowrie said.
Kevin O’Brien, owner of Kaps, said the other two Kaps locations in McPherson will continue operating as usual.
