Morgan Schmidt had two medal-winning efforts. At Hoisington she posted a 53 for 8th place. At Pretty Prairie, Schmidt shot a nice 43 and won a chip-off to pocket the bronze medal (3rd).
Lauren Beardsley and Kayla Baer were solid, each finishing in the top 20 on both days. Beardsley had 54 (10th) at Hoisington and 53 (18th) at Pretty Prairie. Baer carded 62 (20th) on Monday and 53 (19th) on Tuesday.
Lexie Lanterman and Shelby Richard shot identical 68s at Hoisington to finish 28th and 29th, respectively. Bailee Farr shot 75 to take 12th in JV action.
On Tuesday, the Greenbacks added a new member to the squad. Brielle Vandervoort looks like she will fit in nicely, as she posted a 52 to take 13th at the Pretty Prairie meet. With her, the team was able to post their lowest 4-person score of the season at Pretty Prairie— 201. The second place team finish was also the Lady Frogs best of the season.
The lady linksters will return to Cheney next Tuesday for a “league” meet.
