  • It was a game that was played mostly on MC's offensive side as the Lady 'Dogs took out Bethel College 1-0.
Following their victory over the Lady Threshers, Mac soccer is 1-0 against KCAC foes and 2-6-1 overall.
After 75 minutes, the McPherson bombardment against Bethel finally paid off as Jessica Dominguez slotted one coming off an Amy Stockton assist.
MC would then hold off the Threshers for the remaining 15 minutes.
The Bulldogs clearly owned the game as they attempted 28 total shots and placed 12 on goal, 11 of which were saved by the BC goalkeeper.
Dominguez, Haley Anderson and Gabriela Navarro led all shooters with their five shot attempts.
Anderson and Navarro put two on target while Dominguez tallied three on frame.
The Mac defense held the Threshers to five shots with three requiring a save by freshman Caitlyn Blagrave in her first game back from injury.
The effort earned Blagrave a KCAC Defensive Player of the Week nod.
On the season, she is fourth in the conference in saves with 45, fifth in the conference in goals against average with 2.10, and fifth in the conference in saves per game with an average of 5.63.
She has played in all eight games for the Bulldogs, boasting a 0.750 overall save percentage.
The KCAC Players of the Week will also be nominated for NAIA National Player of the Week honors, which will be announced later this week.
MC will take to the road for their next conference game as they travel to play Kansas Wesleyan tonight. The 8:30 p.m. contest will be played at Salina Stadium.
