  • Kansas Statewide Transgender Education Project will have an open forum on being transgender from 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 26 at the McPherson Public Library.
The presenters will be Stephanie Mott of Topeka and Alexander Earles of Wichita.
Mott is the executive director of the project and has provided transgender educational presentations more than 200 times throughout Kansas.
Earles is a project board member and founder and director of TransRiseAbove.
“This is a unique opportunity for people to learn more about what it’s like to be transgender,” Mott said. “We welcome questions from everyone, including people who have concerns about who we are.”
After Earles and Mott share about their journeys as transgender individuals in Kansas, there will be time for questions and answers.
Anyone who is interested in learning more about transgenderism is welcome. The forum is free.
Questions or requests for more information should be directed to Stephanie Mott, stephanieequality@yahoo.com or 785-215-7436.
