Moundridge took their final bow of the season at home Tuesday night, winning a duel with Center to move to 19-12 on the year.
The Wildcats won 25-15 in set one, though senior Brooke Holloway rolled her ankle and sat parts of the next two sets. Moundridge dropped set two 22-25, but, with the help of Erin Miller, who came in for Holloway, they bounced back to win set three 25-15. Holloway then played most of set four, helping the Wildcats to a 25-22 win.
MacKenzie Suderman led the offense with 14 kills and head coach Kelsi Chisholm also gave her kudos for her work on the defense side, as well.
“It was good to see MacKenzie step up and be the offensive leader I have known her to be,” Chisholm said, “and also to work some girls in and get them reps.”
Holloway had six kills on the night, while Rylie Dyck and Michelle Schrag both had three. Miller and Anna Stucky both had two kills.
The Wildcats will next take the court Saturday for the Heart of America League tournament at Ell-Saline.
