    Tech updates
The county commission approved Monday morning $5,857 for technology updates to the county courthouse.
These updates will replace existing projectors and other items that have become dated.
The new technology will include an 80-inch TV monitor for displaying evidence and other items during trial to the jury and observers and a 22-inch monitor for the judge's bench for displaying the same items. It also will include connections for laptops and other electronic devices and necessary wiring.
David Page, county attorney, said these updates will allow witnesses to testify from locations other than the courtroom, which is important when a victim testifies in cases for crimes such as sexual assault.
    Other business
The commission also approved appointing Darren Frazier as the emergency management coordinator.
The commission voted to condemn two properties on North 16th Avenue under eminent domain as part of the 16th Avenue Reconstruction Project.
