  • Tiger harriers finish in MCAC championships

  • The Central Christian College men's and women's cross country teams participated in the MCAC Cross Country Championships hosted by Haskell University on Saturday, with both teams putting up top ten finishes.

  • The Central Christian College men's and women's cross country teams participated in the MCAC Cross Country Championships hosted by Haskell University on Saturday, with both teams putting up top ten finishes.
    The race was run in Lawrence at the Rim Rock Farm, where the Tiger men finished fourth and the women finished in sixth.
    The men were paced by Freshman Dean Danner, who finished the race in seventh with an 8K time of 29:39.54.
    The Tiger women's top finisher was Breana Rudiger. Rudiger finished in 22nd place with a 5K time of 22:31.27. Neither of the Tiger teams qualified for the NAIA national championships.
    "I was really happy with the way everyone ran,” Tiger coach Brock Glenn said. “They have worked hard all season and it showed today. Both teams have made great strides this year and I am proud of them. Next up is NCCAA Nationals and we are looking forward to it."
    Danner was named to the MCAC's All-Conference 1st Team and Amanda Curtis and Elyse Merritt were named MCAC Scholar Athletes.
