The Lamplighter Circle met Monday in the Serve Center. The meeting was called to order by Doreen Ediger.
She thanked Shirley Lewis and herself for being hostesses for the evening. Alma Nigh gave the devotions by comparing grocery shopping to what God is looking for in all of us. It’s what’s on the inside more than what is on the outside.
Roll call was answered by 17 members and three guests telling what their favorite Thanksgiving Day food is.
Prayer shawls and baby blankets are needed to donate to the United Methodist Women Assembly in April 2014. The Christmas Tea is at 2 p.m. Dec. 1 in the Serve Center.
Bloodmobile is March 3 and 4, 2014. LEAF UMC will be Feb. 9 and 10 in Topeka.
Joyce Hall gave the program on World Thank Offering. Refreshments were served by Shirley Lewis and Doreen Ediger.
The next meeting will be Jan. 20, 2014 with Karen Davidson and Debbie Kresky hostesses. Kathy Nuss will give devotions and Sheryl Messenger will have the program.
