  • Quamisha Spence scored 16 points and Central Chrisitan College rolled to a 71-55 win over Ozark Christian College Thursday night.
    The Tigers won despite shooting only 36.5 percent from the field, making 27-of-74 shots. They were 6-for-20 from three point distance and 11-of-19 from the foul line as a team.
    Spence shot 6-for-11, herself and went 4-for-5 from the foul line for her 16 points.
    Libby Regier shot 4-of-10 for 11 points and Harley Pate added 10 points on 4-of-7 shooting.
    The Tigers won the turnover battle, giving up only 18 balls to Ozark Christian’s 25. They were out-rebounded, however, 51-54.
    Ozark Christian’s Chelsea Matlack was the leading scorer for both teams with 33 points, making 9-of-22 shots from the field and 14-of-18 foul shots.
    Matlack also had the lone OCC three-point bucket.
    As a team, the Ambassadors shot only 25.4 percent from the field.
    The Lady Tigers’ busy week continues this evening, as they take part in the MSSU Thanksgiving Classic. CCC faces Evangel University at 5 p.m.
    They will play Avila University Saturday at 1 p.m.
