Three reasons to ateend this year's "Toys for Kids" Toy Run.

Three reasons to go
1. Organized by ABATE, a not-for-profit organization promoting safe motorcycle legislation, the event helps provide Christmas gifts for children who otherwise wouldn’t receive any.
2. Motorcycle enthusiasts will love the parade, which will begin in the Wal-Mart parking lot at 1 p.m. and has been included as many as 200 motorcycles in previous years’ toy runs.
3. After the parade, a chili lunch and auction will be at the American Legion, 401 N. Main St., with money raised from the auction going to purchase Christmas gifts for impoverished children.

Why you should attend:
ABATE District 9 representative Jon Puckett said anyone could take part in the ride.
“Just get on your bike, grab a toy, come out and ride,” Puckett said.
“We serve a whole lot of kids in McPherson County, and it takes a lot of work. I don’t think a lot of people have any idea that there are so many kids in the position of needing this kind of help.”
