Cold weather has slowed work on county road projects.
The county is doing grading north of McPherson on 14th Avenue from Pawnee to Navajo.
Work also has been hampered because of road grader break down.
Tom Kramer, director of public works, said the repairs to the grader are minor and should be able to be completed in-house.

Summer floods
The county is applying for about $50,000 in  federal FEMA disaster relief funds as a result of this summer’s flooding.
Some of the funds will reimburse the county for overtime for workers who had to post road closure signs.
Eight sites in the county also have been designated for road repairs to be paid for with the disaster funds, Kramer said. The roads include 22nd Avenue, Rainbow Road, 24th Avenue, Overland Road and Eisenhower Road. Some roads have multiple sites.

The county also approved cereal malt beverage licenses for Canton Grocery and Rolling Acres Golf Course. A renewal of a cereal malt beverage license also was approved for Prime Time Store 121. A notice was sent to the township to give officials an opportunity to comment before the license is issued by the state.
