  • Hospira raises toys and food

  • Hospira collected 1,075 toys at its toy and food drive. This surpassed last year’s total of 700 toys.

    The K-State team brought in the most toys with 516. University of Kansas came in second with 406 toys, and other schools donated 153 toys.  
    Toys will be going to families with children at the McPherson and Marion County Early Childhood Center and CASA in Newton for McPherson and Harvey County families.
    It also raised $400 in its  Pie in the Face contest, not counting the bidding money. This money will be used to to buy toys. An additional $225 will be donated to Mt. Hope Sanctuary.
    In the past couple weeks, Hospira also raised 900 food items for the McPherson County Food Bank.
