Friday's McPherson Hospital Volunteer Services Christmas Cookie and Candy Sale will give attendees the opportunity to win this year’s Christmas Quilt, crafted by the McPherson Hospital Volunteer Services Sewing Group. Tickets for a chance to win the quilt are available at the McPherson Hospital Gift Shop and will be available at the Cookie and Candy Sale until the drawing at 3 p.m. Entry tickets are $1 each, or $5 for seven.
People can also buy cookies and candy handmade by members of the McPherson Hospital Volunteer Services. For those who’ve wanted these sorts of traditional holiday foods but just haven’t had time to make them, this is an ideal opportunity. For those interested in more than just cookies and candy, the volunteers also make breads, TV mix, peppernuts, jams, jellies and more.
All proceeds from the sale will go to future patient-related hospital projects, so McPherson Hospital can better serve the community.
The event will run from 9 a.m. until all items have been sold. It will be held at Hess Education Center in the second floor annex of McPherson Hospital, 1000 Hospital Drive.
