  • A second-half push by the Canton-Galva girls sent Tuesday night’s Heart of America League battle against Inman into overtime, where the Eagles completed the comeback to win 46-41.
    The Eagles (3-6, 1-2 HOA) trailed 20-13 at the half, but outscored Inman 15-8 in the third.
    Both teams scored nine in the fourth quarter to send it into overtime, where Canton-Galva set the pace 9-4.
    Erika Smith led the Eagles with 16 points, while both Zoe Unruh and Cassidy Enns had 10.
    Inman (2-6, 0-3) was paced by Kaitlynn Goalden’s 15 points. Naomi Williams scored 12.

    Smoky Valley falls to Haven 45-26
    HAVEN — Hannah McBride scored 13 points Tuesday night, but it wasn’t enough as Smoky Valley fell to Haven 45-26.
    McBride was the lone Viking in double digits.
    Smoky Valley falls to 0-8 on the season, 0-6 in Central Kansas League Play.
    The Vikings are at home Friday against Pratt.

    Trinity edges out Wildcats 40-37
    MOUNDRIDGE — A shaky third quarter proved to be the undoing of Moundridge Tuesday, as the Wildcats fell to Hutchinson Trinity 40-37.
    The Wildcats led 21-13 at the half, but Trinity came roaring back in the third with a 10-4 showing.
    They then outscored Moundridge in the fourth 17-12.
    MacKenzie Suderman led the Wildcats with 10 points, though Michelle Schrag was just behind with nine.
    Moundridge, No. 7 in this week’s KBCA Class 2A rankings, falls to 6-2 overall, 3-1 in the Heart of American League.

    Baldwin’s 12 leads Little River to 45-39 win
    LITTLE RIVER — Emily Baldwin scored 12 and Little River defeated Centre Tuesday 45-39.
    Skylar Johnston added 11, while Kasey Zeller scored 10 for the Redskins, who improved to 6-3 on the year.
    The Redskins are on the road Friday at Hope against Rural Vista.
