1. The event will help raise money for Circles of McPherson County. The group seeks to end poverty one family at a time.
Participants take a Getting Ahead class and then are matched with volunteers. The volunteers, who are called allies, become intentional friends to support individuals and families in working toward goals and an eventual life beyond poverty.
2. Hear stories from program participants, who are also known as circle leaders. Volunteers, including allies, also will talk about their experiences with the program.

3. Share delicious homemade soups and desserts and socialize with member of Circles community  and the community as a whole.

Why you should attend
“Our immediate need for funds — we have 23 people enrolled in Getting Ahead, the most we have ever had. We need funds for the stipends for when those participants successfully complete the program. We also have more children and have increased child care providers. We have a lot more people.”
