Addison V. Ellwood, 95, of McPherson, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, at McPherson Hospital.
He was a retired farmer and rancher.
 He was born on Nov. 13, 1918, in McPherson County, the son of Charles E. and Lillie Cordelia (Lindquist) Ellwood.
On Sept. 12, 1948, Addison was united in marriage to Florence M. Snodgrass in McPherson.  She preceded him in death on Sept. 24, 2000.
 Addison was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, McPherson.
 Survivors include: daughter, Michele Grover and husband, Mike, of Hesston; four grandchildren, Melissa Kindel of Salina, Jamie Welsch of Salina, Jason Keezer of Lawrence, and Mandy Keezer-Wright of Tonganoxie; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
 He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and eight siblings.
 The graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, at the McPherson Cemetery with Rev. Tim Leaf officiating.
Visitation with the family present will be prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday at Stockham Family Funeral Home.
