Two people were arrested Wednesday on charges of forgery, theft and felony obstruction.
At 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, officers spoke with Jazmin Larue, 21, about the whereabouts of Aaron Fickett, 22, as part of an investigation of checks that were stolen. Three of the checks were used at McPherson businesses. They were connected to a closed account.
Larue told the officers Fickett was not at home. The officers later found out he was hiding in the bathroom.
The officers arrested Fickett on charges of four counts of theft, three counts of forgery and one count of felony obstruction. He was held in lieu of $12,000 bond.
The officers also arrested Larue on charges of three counts of theft, two counts of forgery and one count of felony obstruction. She was held in lieu of $8,500 bond.
