A Salina man was arrested Thursday afternoon after attempting to elude police.
At 2:52 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to the 1400 block of North Main Street for a report of suspicious activity. Upon the officers' arrival, Cody Espinosa, 31, of Salina hit a parked vehicle when he tried to leave the scene.
Officers pursued Espinosa, who refused to pull over until he reached the intersection of Main Street and First Street. Officers arrested him on charges of felony driving under the influence, driving while suspended, leaving the scene of an accident, transportation of an open container and third-degree fleeing or eluding law enforcement officers.
It was later found Espinosa’s vehicle was stolen, and a charge of possession of stolen property was added. Espinosa was held in lieu of $9,350 bond.
